Hello all,
I received this in an e-mail from a collegue recently and thought I would share it. Looks like a pretty good idea...
Three web-based companies are taking photographs and turning them into U.S. postage stamps -- stamps that can add a personal touch to mailings, and serve as great gifts for clients.
Put a picture on a stamp. Sending out a flyer? Personalize mailings with postage featuring your photograph. Real estate agents have long proven the power of repeated high-traffic placement of their photo on items such as stationery, billboards, websites and grocery carts.
Give to clients as a gift. If clients just bought a home, what better way to personalize new house announcements than with a picture of their new property made into postage stamps. Better yet, have them pose for a picture in front of their new home. Or, perhaps clients would appreciate postage stamps made from pictures of their children or pet.
The three companies authorized by the United States Postal Service to provide photo postage are PhotoStamps (www.photo.stamps.com), $17.99 for 20 39-cent stamps; Zazzle (www.zazzle.com), $16.99 for 20 39-cent stamps; and Endicia (www.endicia.com), $16.95 for 20 39-cent stamps. The price drops when ordering increased quantities. See websites for more information and be sure to read the terms and conditions. Certain images, such as business logos, notices and web addresses, are currently prohibited from being turned into postage stamps.
Ordering photo postage requires a digital photo and Internet access. Simply log on to the site, upload a picture and pay via credit card. The process is quick and easy.
